Modular Groundwater Optimizer
(Educational Release)

Introduction
Modular Groundwater Optimizer (MGO) is a general simulation-optimization code incorporating MODFLOW and MT3DMS for groundwater resource and quality management.  MGO is developed by Chunmiao Zheng and Patrick Wang at the University of Alabama in cooperation with Groundwater Systems Research Ltd. This release of MGO is intended for readers of Applied Contaminant Transport Modeling for educational purposes.  It includes only genetic algorithms, one of the several available optimization solvers in MGO, and is restricted to the maximum of 20 decision variables.
